Michelin 365/70R22.5 Price - davidbrady - 04-21-2018 10:12

Yesterday I had a Level 3 done at my local tour bus operator along with 2 new Michelin 365's for the steer axle. I checked the FMCA Michelin Advantage Pricing List and the Advantage price for a 365 is $943.00; that's the tire only, mounting charges and taxes are extra. Burke's doesn't participate in the Advantage program, but it turns out their pricing was competitive. The installed price for each tire including all charges, mounting and installation was $1030. After a $100 credit for my old tires, the final "out the door" price for each tire was $930. The date codes on each tire were identical: 0318. BTW, they had plenty of 365's on the rack. If you're having trouble finding tires check with your tour bus operator. The Level 3 they perform is exactly the same as Prevost's. I also included a new air cleaner for $83.62 and a chassis A/C service.

Could Michelin Advantage pricing changed that much since late June!

June 21st price for 365 tires.
$910.00 Price
$268.40 FMCA Discount
$691.60 Sale Price
$ 33.08 FET
--------------------
$724.68 Total Tire Only Sale Price with Tax

I would have never thought to consider a charter bus company as source for 365 tires. I guess charter buses are now coming with 365s, which doesn't make much since given their much lower weight. Good to know.

Thanks for sharing.

CC_Guy,

My mistake. The price on the FMCA Advantage website is the Michelin price. To get the FMCA Advantage discount price you need to have them email the quote. The email I received said:

Base price: $943.00
FMCA price: $724.00
Discount: $218.00

By those numbers, my price isn't as competitive as I thought; oh well, at least they had them and they're fresh! Undecided

Leaky shower stall - Tidwells@aol.com - 08-14-2018 23:52

The shower stall of my 1996 Prevost Royale by Monaco leaks. If the bus is not totally level, water goes under the corridor tiles and seeps out through the grout and the carpeting in the rear bedroom gets a little soggy. Several tiles on the floor of the shower stall have come loose. I tried to re-cement them in and re-grout, but it didn't last. How do I tell if the leak is in the plumbing or right through the floor of the shower stall, which is elevated 2 or 3 inches above the height of the bus floor? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! Doug

Sorry, everyone! I'm having trouble figuring out how to start a new topic thread. So I posted my shower stall question as a reply on this thread. Can someone tell me how to start a new thread? Thanks! Doug

Doug,

Page down to "Discussions", choose (click on) the topic that best fits your post, once on that page, click on "New Reply" at top right corner of page.

Showers with floor tiles usually leak where the floor tiles meet the walls or around the floor drain due to the flexing of the body and chassis.
