50A Shore Line Plug End - davidbrady - 08-20-2017 16:51

Guys,

My shore line 50A 3-pole 4-prong right angle plug is cracking and needs to be replaced. I have the original molded on plug which was never that good from the start; they get very, very hot. Anyone have a manufacturer they like? On my LXi I think I replaced it with a Hubbell but I can't find the part number. Thanks for your suggestions.

This one looks decent: https://jet.com/product/detail/77480bc7d4b942acba81442f44467ff6?jcmp=pla:ggl:b_nj_dur_gen_tools_home_improvement_a2:tools_home_improvement_electrical_equipment_plugs_a2:na:PLA_858550035_47529560310_pla-306361402451:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&pid=kenshoo_int&c=858550035&is_retargeting=true&clickid=aa9bd262-a640-4e0c-9452-f28047ee55d6

David, My plug end hits the ground and scoots every time I extend it. I cannot grab it until it comes down the chute and is out from underneath the coach. So, it gets scuffed, I've had to use "Back to Black" to cover the scuffing.
Here's a Hubbell plug found on Grainger. Expensive though....

There are some cheaper plugs on this page also.

Chuck I have a cove for the Marathon plug so that when you extend the cord the prongs will not hit the ground and deform. You can have the one I have it is your when we see you next time. If you heading home this way you want to stop in you can park in our spot and connect to the 50 amps.

Hish, this is an end to an era- how many birds did you have before you went to Prevosts? I had 4 birds

Ernie
I had a 1997 Wanderlodge and a M450LXI as well as an 04 Marathon XL2 two slides and 03 Liberty H345 with 2 slides. Along the way we had a GMC and many other campers in the past 40 years of RVing. And in between 13 different airplanes the last 42 years the I owned and flue for fun. It is time to do something else for next few years.
